Community Appreciation Day in Benton County!

The BC MO EM, BC ARES, and BC MO CERT will share a table and tent at the event!  Come on out and see us!

Hosted by the Friends of the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, they say the following:

“Our real-life heroes don’t wear capes or masks, they don’t have secret, super cool lairs. Our real-life heroes have families and homes just like you and me. They leave each day to fight fires, help the sick and wounded and stand between the bad guys and us. Our real-life heroes are our area First Responders. Please come and meet them, find out more about what they do and how they do it.
The entire family will enjoy the day. Children will be fascinated with a variety of first responder vehicles including fire trucks, an ambulance, a helicopter, law enforcement, and lots of other special vehicles. Our bounce houses, trackless train, games, and even a mock jail will return again this year.
Music and laughter provided by Jim and Darlene Hayes along with Bill Roberts with their popular country music program. Munch away on free hot dogs, chips, cookies and rice crispy treats. Raffle prizes include weekend trips to Branson, a deluxe family drone from our “Dollars for Drones” program and MORE! Raffle prizes are still coming in!
The Pie Auction will return as well with Pies from your favorite area cooks and volunteer auctioneers Johnson Bay Auction Company. We will have a few surprise auction items as well, make sure not to miss it!
Donations, auction and raffle proceeds from the Community Appreciation Day will help to purchase a professional drone for the Benton County Sheriff’s office. Benton County has an area of 753 square miles and a resident population of about 19,000. During tourist seasons the population swells to about 40,000, with no corresponding change in the number of law enforcement. A drone would be a force multiplier for our first responders.
Please join us for the Third Annual Community Appreciation Day. Held on Sunday, September 30, 2018, from 4 PM to 8 PM at Knox Enterprise’s on 65 HWY, just across from Jester’s. 23644 Highway 65, Warsaw, MO 65355. For more information and updates follow us on Facebook at Friends of the Benton County Sheriff’s Office or call (417) 719-2538. This event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! See You There!”
