The BC MO EM is proud to announce that Deputy Director Samantha Henley has completed the Emergency Management Director Academy!
This two-day course is an overview of the Emergency Management Director’s role and responsibilities. In the short time Sam has served with us, she has completed a number of FEMA and SEMA courses, worked on the Local Emergency Operations Plan with Mark (which is still in progress!), become the point of contact for several volunteer organizations in the county, created and managed the website and social media presence for the BC MO EM, participated and assisted with various regional communications and point-of-contact responsibilities, and MORE!
We are very proud of Sam and look forward to seeing how she helps our county next!
While Sam was at the SEMA building in Jefferson City for training, she and the others in the class were given a tour of SEMA’s Emergency Operations Center. SEMA is our next line of recovery and help if and when our county (and the rest in Missouri!) is overwhelmed by a large-scale emergency.
